"the big association for the little guy"
(Subscribe to the association's newsletter below)
Jack started the association with a mission to create an association that could provide practical education, tools and resources so small and home-based businesses could succeed. He realized that it would naturally attract small business owners, managers as well as their employees. Over the past 30 years plus, it has done just that.
The association came into existence mainly because Jack saw that small businesses need help in many ways. He recognized that a person could start a business like a hair salon and know quite a bit about cutting and fixing hair. The problem was, there often wasn’t sufficient knowledge about taxes, payroll, accounting, workers compensation and other insurances, incorporating, and how to manage a business so many businesses simply went “under”. That problem begged a solution.
Jack decided to incorporate the association in January, 1979 and it has been operated as a “not for profit” organization since. Today the Association for Independent Managers is the national association for small and home-based businesses. The association really is, "the big association for the little guy." Help Is Available
The association's purpose is to help those in small and home based businesses to succeed. To accomplish this goal, we make available education, tools and resources, insurance programs as well as other helps.
Value
Another benefit is sheer numbers. By assembling many members, we are able to obtain lower prices on whatever we offers and then pass on those lower costs to the members.
Many past members have joined the Association for Independent Managers only for the newsletter, they also stayed…for decades! Each issue has numerous ideas, methods, news, articles, and information that anyone in small and home based business needs. Just one great idea can make all the difference in your life and we offer several great ideas with each issue, and now the newsletter "DIRECTIONS" is available to you without actually joining the association, and is absolutely free!
Privacy statement: We will use your email address only to provide you with the "DIRECTIONS" newsletter and important related information, and will not share your personal information with anyone.
